Voted Best Pub in New Jersey
History: St. Stephen's Green is an inner City Publick Park in Dublin, Ireland. In 1877 Parliament passed an Act to re-open St. Stephen's Green to the public at the initiative of Sir Arthur Guinness. He later paid for the layout of the Green in its current form. During the Easter Rising of 1916, members of the Irish Citizen Army established a position in St. Stephen's Green. On the South side of the Park is the Catholic University of Ireland and on the West side is the Royal College of Surgeons. Also on the West side is Grafton Street which is home to the largest shopping center in Ireland.
Today: To create one of the most authentic Irish restaurants in Monmouth County, our founders took inspiration from Sir Arthur Guinness’s preservation of that historical Publick Park. St. Stephen’s Green was founded to preserve the rich history of the classic Irish Publick House, or Pub. As a leader among Monmouth County Irish restaurants, our philosophy is to keep our cuisine and our dining room both fresh and classic. We strive every day to bring each of our guests the most authentic cuisine of any of the Monmouth County NJ Irish restaurants and to do it with a friendly smile that makes you feel right at home.
